The sun is shining at the spa and we couldn't be happier about our new location.  We have views of Schweitzer, lots of natural light and a private location to provide treatments.  We are located on the third floor of the Belwood Building in Suite 301 and have big plans for our new space. The first is a Spring Event with live demonstrations of Botox injections, lip fillers and lower face fillers.  The event will take place on Thursday, April 12th, from 5:30-7:30.  There will be raffle prizes, open discussion for questions and of course, champagne.  Space is limited so call/text to reserve your spot!

March 1st is 7B Women's 10th annual conference. If you didn't get registered for this year's conference we would encourage you to consider joining 7B Women and attending their monthly luncheons.  The luncheons are held the first Tuesday of every month at Tango Cafe in the Columbia Bank Building, and are a great opportunity for the women in Bonner County to connect and be inspired.  They strive to support and empower women, and give back through several chartiable events during the year, such as the Boobs N' Beer Run and Clothing Swap.  For more information or to become a member go to 7bwomen.com

Considering Botox?  Below are the most commonly asked questions.

Are injections painful? No.  A small insulin needle is used to inject Botox.  For most clients it is well tolerated, they either can't feel it at all or don't find it to be uncomfortable.  If you are concerned about the discomfort, a topical numbing cream can be applied prior to injections.

How long does it last? Botox takes 2-14 days to become effective.  It then lasts approximately 3-4 months before full muscle movement returns, and then injections are repeated.  If you choose to stop Botox the muscles will return to their previous level of movement (not more).

How much does Botox cost? Botox pricing varies from practice to practice.  At Refined Aesthetics Botox is $11/unit.  The amount of Botox that someone needs varies from person to person.  On average the area between the brows (frown lines) requires 20 units, the forehead 10 units and the crow's feet 12 units each side.

Is Botox safe?  Yes, Botox Cosmetic received FDA approval in 2002 and is approved for use in over 75 countries.  There have been over 500 peer reviewed articles in scientific and medical journals and it is the most widely researched and studied treatment of its kind.  When Botox is injected it does not go systemic in the body, but rather stays in the localized area where it is injected.
